Shane Dähler is an Albanian-American drummer and bandleader based in Brooklyn, NY. Before turning 30, he spent his twenties building a name across jazz, Caribbean music, and the wider entertainment industry, founding the contemporary jazz quintet DARUMA and performing at The Kennedy Center in 2025.

Shane has toured nationally and internationally with rapper and chef Action Bronson as the drummer for Human Growth Hormone, Bronson's live band — contributing as a writer and performer on Bronson's 2026 album Planet Frog. In May 2026, Human Growth Hormone made history as the first live band to ever perform inside Katz's Delicatessen, the legendary NYC institution established in 1888, backing Bronson alongside rappers Paul Wall and Mayhem Lauren in a performance recorded by engineer Josh Rogosin, known for his decade of work behind many of NPR's Tiny Desk concerts. Shane has also toured with the acclaimed Trinidadian Afro-jazz steelpan orchestra Siparia Deltones, performing in the UK in 2018 and leading workshops and performances in Cuba in 2024, and has worked extensively with Trinidadian soca icon Machel Montano and his Caribbean label Monk Music.

In 2024, Shane played a key role in the marketing and rollout of Siparia to Soweto, a collaborative album uniting Siparia Deltones, the late South African jazz legend Hugh Masekela, and Machel Montano—working closely with the Masekela family and estate, Monk Music, and Gallo Music of South Africa to bring the project to release. He has also spent time on the business side of the industry, including a stint in A&R at a record label startup co-founded by former 10K Projects executives—experience that has given him a rare, ground-level understanding of an industry as complex as it is fast-moving.

Shane was named to the 2025 Creative Capital shortlist and received a 2024 South Arts Jazz Road touring grant. He has appeared on NPR, PBS, and CBS affiliates across the United States, and has served as an artist in residence in Trinidad & Tobago with the Deltones Institute of Steel Drums & Music since 2016, where he was personally recognized by President Christine Kangaloo.

Shane attended the New England Conservatory as a merit scholar, studying under NEA Jazz Masters Billy Hart, Ra Kalam Bob Moses, and Dave Holland.
